Johan Fägerblad – new Chief Operating Officer at United Spaces
United Spaces is in the middle of a big expansion. In February, we are opening our new workspace in Malmö, and there is more to come. To prepare for our expansion we are expanding our team as well, we are happy to present to you our new Chief Operating Officer, Johan Fägerblad.
Johan has over 30 years of experience within both the tourism and the meeting industry. He has held leading positions within marketing or sales at KLM, HRG, Fritidsresor, Choice Hotels and has for the last nine years acted as CEO for Svenska Möten.
– I visited United Spaces for the first time many years ago and have kept my eye on it since then. Already back then, United Spaces was far more advanced in comparison to the rest of the meeting industry.
Johan is born and raised in Västerås, where he recently moved back with his family after 30 years in Stockholm. After spending almost all of his life within the tourism and meeting industry – often with international missions – he has traveled a lot.
– You could call me a travel nerd. I have been to 111 countries and I always try to have at least two trips booked in advance. At the moment it’s Krakow and island hopping in Greece.
Besides being responsible for the operational work, Johan wants to focus on increasing the flexibility for United Spaces’ members by measuring satisfaction and developing both our hosting service and community.
– The concept of co-working and shared offices is growing enormously. United Spaces was the first co-working space on the market, now it is important to keep that lead. This development attracts me, and I feel really inspired to be a part of it.
You will find Johan Fägerblad in the workspace on a daily basis. You can also meet him in the bistro during the After Work, Thursday 26/1.
